The Banco de Portugal presents two surveys from 2023 and 2022 on financial literacy: one conducted among adults and another among 15-year-olds. The literacy of the Portuguese population is in line with that of 16 countries in the euro area. Women, young people, the elderly with lower levels of education, and citizens with lower incomes show low levels of literacy.
