AICCOPN reported this Wednesday, the 11th, that public works tenders promoted in January fell by 33% in quantity and 41% in value, reaching 349 tenders and 450 million euros compared to January 2024. The association highlights that January tends to see strong fluctuations. The AICCOPN Public Works Barometer also reveals that construction contracts signed and registered on the Base Portal totalled 190 million in January, a decrease of 46.1% compared to the same month last year. Contracts resulting from public tenders represented 141 million, a 56% drop compared to January 2025. On the other hand, awards via direct adjustment or prior consultation grew by 46%, reaching 36 million euros, countering the general downward trend observed in tender modalities. Public works tenders promoted in 2025 rose 21% to over ten billion.
