APA rejects Lagoa Salgada mine project on the Alentejo coast

The Portuguese Environment Agency (APA) issued an unfavourable opinion on the Lagoa Salgada mine project, for the extraction of copper, lead and zinc in the municipalities of Grândola and Alcácer do Sal, after identifying negative impacts on water resources.
