Rail traffic suspended on sections of the North, Douro, West, Beira Baixa, and Cascais lines

According to IP, rail traffic is suspended on the North Line between Alfarelos and Coimbra B; on the Douro Line between Régua and Pocinho; on the West Line between Mafra and Amieira; on the Beira Baixa Line between Mouriscas and Sarnadas; on the Cascais Line on the ascending track between Algés and Caxias and at the Xabregas Junction between Lisbon Santa Apolónia and Chelas Junction.

Context & Explainers

The Cascais Line (Linha de Cascais) is the suburban rail service linking Lisbon with coastal towns including Cascais and stopping at all stations along that corridor. During the disruption described, operators increased peak services to trains every 15 minutes that stop at all stations, so commuters should check updated timetables while schedules are being normalised.
