A man was mugged at the entrance of his home on Avenida Almirante Reis, Lisbon, after being followed for several blocks by a group targeting his high-value watch. The victim, who was returning home with his wife, was confronted by a suspect who pushed his wife and stole the watch. The assailant fell while attempting to flee, allowing the victim and a witness to restrain him until police arrived. The 1.5 million euro watch was recovered. The suspect, an Algerian national, was released pending further investigation, while other members of the group remain at large. The victim stated he will no longer wear or keep valuables in Lisbon.
