On Wednesday, PCP, Livre, BE, and PAN called for an increase in the minimum wage in 2026, accusing the Prime Minister of setting a new wage target out of fear of strikes, while the PSD defended the current government policy of gradual increases. This was discussed in a plenary debate at the Assembly of the Republic, scheduled by the Communist bench, where resolution projects were discussed.
