IGCP auctions up to two billion in 6 and 12-month Treasury Bills

The IGCP is holding two Treasury Bill (BT) auctions this Wednesday, the 18th, with maturities on September 18 (approximately six months) and March 19, 2027 (12 months), in an operation with a total indicative amount between 1.75 billion and two billion euros. In the last placements of this type of security on February 18, the IGCP sold 1.75 billion in 9 and 11-month BTs, with average rates of 2.013% and 2.015%, respectively. It is also worth noting that on January 21, the 12-month BT auction reached the maximum indicative amount of 1.25 billion at an average rate of 2.026%. Treasury Bills are short-term public debt instruments (up to one year) used by the State to quickly manage cash flow and meet financing needs.
