The government has decided to extend the state of calamity until 8 February “to face the adverse weather conditions” expected in the coming days. The weather in mainland Portugal will be affected from Tuesday afternoon until Saturday by depression Leonardo, with persistent and sometimes heavy rain, snowfall, strong winds, and rough seas anticipated.
