A woman was found unconscious on the A8 motorway and taken to Leiria hospital on Saturday, 11 April. The GNR is investigating the incident as a suspected case of physical assault. According to Captain Luís Ferreira, the 36-year-old victim was found on the road after allegedly being abandoned by people she was travelling with. Witnesses reported seeing a group of individuals involved in an altercation before fleeing the scene. Authorities are currently gathering evidence and coordinating with the PSP to identify the suspects and determine the nature of the incident.
