The 2026 Easter operations by the PSP and GNR recorded approximately 2,300 accidents by Monday, April 6, resulting in 18 deaths and nearly 800 injuries, with over 630 drivers arrested for driving under the influence. Data released on Monday covering the period from Thursday to Sunday shows the GNR recorded 773 accidents with 12 fatalities, while the PSP recorded 1,521 accidents with 6 fatalities. Authorities also reported numerous arrests for road crimes, property theft, drug trafficking, and domestic violence, alongside the seizure of various prohibited weapons and pyrotechnics.
