Road haulage companies to face increased fines

Road haulage companies are required to have a tachograph, their “main instrument for monitoring compliance with social rules in the field of road transport”. Failing to comply with this rule will now be considered a very serious administrative offence, punishable by fines ranging from 1,500 to 7,500 euros, according to the decree-law published this Monday.
