Storm Kristin destroyed many homes in the worst-affected regions. To help families rebuild, banks are offering financing for repair work with zero spread and no fees. There are further measures to support businesses as well. So far, only Caixa Geral de Depósitos (CGD) and Novobanco have been the only credit institutions to do so.
