Mainland Portugal will experience high levels of pollen concentration in the atmosphere throughout next week, while the autonomous regions will see low levels, it was announced this Thursday, 2 April. According to the Pollen Bulletin from the Portuguese Society of Allergology and Clinical Immunology (SPAIC), the entire mainland territory will be at high risk of pollen concentration between 3 and 9 April, particularly from cypress, plane, pine, birch, oak, cork oak, and holm oak trees, as well as grasses, nettle, and pellitory. Data indicates that in Vila Real, Porto, Coimbra, Castelo Branco, Lisbon, Setúbal, Évora, and Faro, pollen levels will be high for these species. Conversely, the autonomous regions of Madeira and the Azores are expected to have low pollen concentrations.
