On 1st of May Street, in the Bom Sucesso neighbourhood of Alverca do Ribatejo, Vila Franca de Xira, residents are reminded of the blackout that paralysed Portugal on 28 April 2025. It serves as a point of comparison for what they are currently experiencing. Since 5pm on Monday 19 January, several apartment blocks and houses in the neighbourhood have been without electricity.
