A magnitude-2.1 earthquake was recorded at 23:21 and felt with maximum intensity III across seven northern municipalities in the Porto and Braga districts, including Vila Nova de Famalicão, Santo Tirso and Valongo. The epicentre was located about six kilometres west of Paços de Ferreira; the Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere reports no damage.
